Meet Dr Jad Ateia
Welcome to Healthwise Beach Haven! We’ve been proudly serving the Beach Haven community for over 50 years. I’m Dr. Jad Ateia, a GP and urgent care doctor with more than 15 years of experience in both community and hospital settings. Before moving to New Zealand in 2015, I worked as a urologist in Dubai for five years. I perform minor surgeries like skin biopsies, skin cancer excisions, lump removal, vasectomies, circumcisions, and steroid injections to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

In addition to minor surgeries, I have a strong focus on elderly care, chronic disease management, men’s and women’s health, sexual health, contraception, mental health, weight loss, and musculoskeletal injuries. I am tech-savvy and always exploring the latest technologies to improve both our practice and your experience. I love learning new things and exploring new ideas!
I speak English and Arabic. I have been living on the North Shore for the past 8 years, just a few kilometers from Beach Haven, so you can call me your local doctor. When I am not at work, you’ll find me hiking, kayaking, or fishing.
My mission at Healthwise Beach Haven is to offer easily accessible, personalised holistic care, tailored to you and your family’s needs.
We are constantly expanding our services to make it even easier for you to book appointments and consult with your preferred doctor, whether in person, over the phone, or online. Your feedback means a lot to us—so feel free to reach out anytime at help@hwbh.co.nz.

Meet Tatiana
Hi! I'm Tatiana Gautusa, a healthcare assistant with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Proudly rooted in my Samoan and Tokelauan culture, I'm inspired by the resilience, warmth, and strong values of my community.
Originally from Levin, my hometown, I've recently made the move to the beautiful North Shore, excited to explore all that Auckland has to offer. With recent experience caring for the elderly, I've developed a deeper understanding of the importance of compassion, empathy, and personalised care. Outside of work, you can find me exploring various art forms, from painting to writing, and everything in between. With a heart for helping others and a soul that thrives on creativity, I'm grateful to be making a positive impact in my new community, one patient at a time.
